Overview of the Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System (D-KEFS) Advanced with Dr. Dean Delis

Dean C. Delis, PhD, ABPP, is a Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified in clinical neuropsychology. For over 25 years, he served as codirector of training in neuropsychology in the joint doctoral program in clinical psychology at UCSD and San Diego State University, and Director of the Psychology Assessment Unit at the San Diego Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He has published over 200 research articles, book chapters, and books on cognitive deficits in various neurological or psychiatric disorders in adults and children. Dr. Delis is also the lead author of several neuropsychological tests that are used nationally and internationally, including the California Verbal Learning Test (CVLT3 and CVLT–Children’s Version), the Delis Rating of Executive Function (D-REF child and adult versions); the Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System (D-KEFS), and the forthcoming, all-digital D-KEFS Advanced. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Edith Kaplan Award for Distinguished Contribution to Neuropsychological Test Development from the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society; the Ralph M. Reitan Award for Clinical Excellence from the National Academy of Neuropsychology; the Distinguished Career Award from the International Neuropsychological Society; and the Distinguished Lifetime Contribution to Neuropsychology Award from the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Delis currently has a private practice in adult and child neuropsychology in Encinitas, California. He enjoys surfing with his sons and gardening with his wife Meg.
This course meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for LEPs, LMFTs, LPCCs and LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. This course also qualifies for 3 hours of continuing professional development for Nationally Certified School Psychologists, under provider number 1025. CASP maintains responsibility for the program and its content.
